Q: I've never picked my own fruit before. What do I need to do to prepare? A: Welcome, rookie! Before coming to pick please check this website or call to learn about orchard hours and what is in season.
Q: What should I bring with me to pick? A: We usually provide baskets to pick in, however you will need to bring a container in which to take the fruit home. We cannot sell you the baskets.
Q: What should I wear? A: Please dress appropriately for the outdoors and wear comfortable clothing including footwear that is suited for an orchard environment and uneven terrain.
Q: Can I bring children? A: Certainly, providing that they are supervised at all times. Please remember to dress for being outside in the orchards.
Q: Can I bring my pets? A: Although we love Fido and Fluffy, for the safety of all customers we ask that you leave pets at home.
Q: What should I do once I arrive at the farm? A: All customers MUST report to the salesbarn before beginning to pick. There will be an employee there to give your directions and picking instructions.
Q: Must I report to the salesbarn every time I come? What if I had just been there yesterday? A: All customers MUST report to the salesbarn EVERY time they come. Picking instructions sometimes change day to day.
Q: Must I follow all the directions I am given, or can I wander around the farm? A: All customers MUST follow all directions. Only pick in the areas where instructed to do so. Other fruit, although tempting, may not be ready or safe to eat. Use of ladders is entirely at your own risk.
Q: How do I know which fruit is ready to be picked? A: Look for fruit with good size and color. Further questions can be clarified by a sales clerk at the sales barn.
Q: What should I do if I accidentally pick fruit that I don't want or that is not ripe? A: If you pick it, put it in your basket! PLEASE be careful when picking fruit and do not let any go to waste.
Q: What if I pick too much? A: If it is in your basket, you are paying for it and taking it home! Overfull baskets will be charged accordingly. PLEASE be careful when picking fruit and do not let any go to waste.
Q: What should I do after I am done picking? A: All customers MUST report back to the salesbarn after picking. This is where your picked fruit will be transferred to your own containers.
Q: What type of payment options are available? A: We accept cash and check. We do not accept credit or debit cards.
